I love the variety of work that the life of a Photographer brings. Working for the Press Industry does bring challenges other Photographers may not face otherwise. Getting the shot is obviously the most important factor but getting that shot isn't always easy or straight forward as you can't usually ask people to stop and pose or stand under some nice lighting. It takes a lot of gut feeling, guess work and patience at times. Sport Photography is strongly linked to Press Photography and it's also another highly technical aspect. Working in all kinds of weather conditions and in all sorts of lighting make this one of the most demanding types of Photography. Commercial Photography is also linked to Newspaper work as Features, Advertising and more are required on a daily basis and can be the bread and butter of any Newspaper.
